What do taxidermist, or possibly craft people want done on foot pads. I have typically split the pad and skinned out to the first joint off the claw and separated the joint from the toe, cleaned off the flesh and fat and left the toe joint. Should the toe pads also be split and cleaned out. These would be left on a dried skin not frozen and sold at trapper auctions

I dont split any pads, skinn feet out from the wrist clean pads and split the webs, leave inside out stuff with paper or sawdust until dry-that makes it easier to turn the toes and foot back fur out when dry.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Thanks Boco your a wealth of information! I figured the pads in the toes might spoil but will give it a try.
