waggler trapper W Joined: Jan 2008 Alaska and Washington State	It's large size is most likely due to age. Beaver keep growing their entire lives. I think the record came out of Wyoming; two beaver both well over 100 pounds, out of the same pond. "My life is better than your vacation"

The biggest one I ever caught (by 15-20lbs bigger) came from a little spot I don't think anyone had ever trapped or at least not for a good many years. danvee trapper D Joined: Mar 2010 wyoming southeast	I read that the worlds record came out of Wyoming many years ago and topped 100 lbs. and that was when beaver were worth money. I think it was caught near Laramie early 1900s

Both were over 100 pounds, and this is the first story I have heard personally of another one even close to that size so obviously it happens but not very often. ï¿½Whatï¿½s good for me may not be good for the weak minded.ï¿½ Captain Gus McCrae- Texas Rangers

When I was a senior in high school there was a picture in a paper (probably the Wichita Eagle) of a beaver that had been caught in the Arkansas River that was over 100 Lbs. That would have been in 1969. I remember it well as I was trapping beaver and couldn't believe they got that big.
