Scraped this big boy about a week ago. Obviously didn’t get all the grizzle off. Question is, will it hurt anything to let it ride till it finishes drying or should I worry about slipping or something else? Thanks in advance for your help!

I would wet if and get it back on a fleshing beam.

Looks like you left a lot of meat on the head,and some fat down the sides and back.
Just take a sharp knife and shave down the spots that are not drying .
How does it smell?Does it stink?

Nope. I have basically an "un fleshed", but boarded beaver. It dried completely, but I live in Louisiana. I dont remember why I didnt flesh it.

If its not too thick you can sprinkle a little salt on it and it will melt away, then wipe it with a rag

Since it will be a hatter I wouldn't fuss too much over it. Next time flesh it down better.
