I have shot 3 separate .35 calibers and even though they were at opposite ends of the spectrum all did their job exceedingly well. The Wheelen is a beast, the Rem is possibly the best brush gun I ever shouldered, and I am flat out dangerous with my .357 mag revolver. I didn't do the reading as I need to hit the road now, but if someone makes a .357 capable of distance shooting it should be a big hit.

The name Creedmoor comes from a range on the east coast. The style of rifle is reminiscent of those old Creedmoor matches. The caliber is 357 magnum.

I see. I did finally look at the ad in the link. Nice lookin rifle and no doubt fun to shoot. Should be a great hog hunting rig.

If I ever have too much money, I would love to someday play with a .357 Weatherby. I cannot think of too many things a man couldn't flop over with one of those things.

Never heard of a .357 Weatherby-maybe a typo for .375 Weatherby? The link to the above rifle has a 30 inch barrel hence the "Creedmoor" reference.
Creedmoor matches were shot with heavy long barreled single shots from the late 1800's. Most of this is lost on the magic name on the AR platform rifle today. The 6.5 Creedmoor has nothing to do with this history. Another example of marketing. Most can't even spell it correctly.

Thanks for the great info. I thought it was just some dealer thinking he was smart. I guess he is.

Imagine a thousand yard rifle range on Long Island today! Look up the history of the range and the international matches with the Irish and British rifle teams. Black powder and paper patched bullets to boot.
