A cold winter. My mom lives in an old house and was complaining about her utility bill and a $1,600 heating oil bill. Weather forecast are for single digits for lows and highs around 30 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Maybe she needs wood heat. I know it's a lot of work but I don't like paying for propane either. What part of Virginia does your mom live in?

She doesnt have solar panels and big Wind turbines right there near her. Sippy cup and AOC said they really do work. I bet those fools wont be on that grid. Prayers for your mom

She lives about 45 minutes north of Richmond. She may get a heat pump next year. She has central air so all the duct work is in place, but her unit is only for cooling. The unit is a Bryant and is probably 30 years old. They don’t make them like that anymore. Thanks for the prayers, she will be fine but I feel for others.

Sorry to hear about your mom’s situation but this is exactly what the country needs.

I wouldn't be surprised if people die this winter.. especially elderly folks too proud to ask for help.

Spot on. Maybe when those realize how hard it is to afford to heat their homes and have food on the table, they'll stop voting with emotions.

The worse part is trying to stop global warming. Who doesn't like warm?
