Why do people always conflate weather with climate?
Two totally different animals.

Yes, a blizzard is only weather, but climate change cultists claim hurricanes and tornados are due to climate change. Aren’t these just weather events also ? Cold blizzards don’t fit the narrative.

Unless it fits your agenda. The agenda these days is as such: Any type of normal ho hum weather is considered just weather. Anything else is climate change.

Funny how the climate quacks call a major tropical storm evidence of "climate change" and "global warming" but a huge winter storm is "weather" or "climate change due to global warming". (???)

You're embarrassing yourself.

Prolonged patterns of weather is the climate and no, CO2 isn't the cause of global warming.

They promote this stupidity knowing most can't pass a 9th grade physics exam.

Get with it. It's "global warming" when it's hot and everything else falls in the "climate change" slot crazy

One major hurricane is a weather event. One hot summer can be accounted for in normal weather patterns. But when 6 of the hottest global years ever recorded all happened in the last decade we start to suspect climate change. Anybody here ever take a university meteorology course? Or oceanography course?

And 9th grade physics would be a nice start to understand how greenhouse gasses capture and hold heat around our planet which can lead to disruption of the usual weather patterns.

Hook, line and sinker! Greenhouse gas? LMAO! Talking point for those who can't pass the 9th grade test.

You obviously don't even know how a greenhouse works. Capture and hold heat? lol Funny, heat by definition is energy being transfered inside a thermal dynamic system.

You get an F. lol

Six years in one decade! Holy cow!

you're hanging your hat on 6 years' worth of data? or 10? or 50? or 2000? LOL!

what did Science 101 teach you about the Scientific Method and Cause-and-Effect relationships???

get back to me when you've isolated all possible weather-influencers and their relative relationships. Have "they" tested all of these? repeatable studies?

I have lived in the algoma forest and worked there all my life. Witnessed a lot of climate change over the years? Is this normal or self inflicted? Seems to me it's only our perception? This planet has been changing for millions of years.

Compared to what other years and by what methodology?
You ever hear of the apples vs oranges analogy?
Scientists are at a huge disadvantage in determining what is going on with the Earth's climate due to its great vastness, and the constant fluctuation within the multi millions of microclimates which make up the climate. They are constantly facing scenarios of chasing a moving target.
What methodology was used to determine the Earth's temperature during those "six hottest global years"?
Was that same methodology used to determine the Earth's temperature 20 years ago? 50 years ago? 100 years ago?
If not, then the conclusion that "6 of the hottest global years ever recorded all happened in the last decade" is scientifically invalid by definition.

beaverpeller,

what *IS* the Earth's optimal temperature?

how did you arrive at that figure?

(I'm guessing the dinosaurs would disagree with you)

WE all spend a lot of time talking about temps but it is the dissapearance of usable fresh water worldwide that is even a bigger issue. No do weather patterns impact moisture? I say yes they do but to what extent and what are the trends. The other issue with water versus temperature is we don't consume degrees like we do gallons and we are seeing major producting and population regions with much less available water. Yes some areas are flooding but overall we have water issues that we should be spending research dollars on to find ways to grow food with little or no water or recycled water.
