Or oceanography course?

And 9th grade physics would be a nice start to understand how greenhouse gasses capture and hold heat around our planet which can lead to disruption of the usual weather patterns.

you're hanging your hat on 6 years' worth of data? or 10? or 50? or 2000? LOL!

what did Science 101 teach you about the Scientific Method and Cause-and-Effect relationships???

get back to me when you've isolated all possible weather-influencers and their relative relationships. Have "they" tested all of these? repeatable studies?

Volcanic activity, water usage (evaporation rates), surface changes (albedo), ozone levels, just to name a few.

Bblwi fresh water is a great concern around the world 🌎. I worry about lake superior water as I have seen lots of cancer on fish working on the lake in the eighty and ninteys. They say it takes about 150 to 200 years for the water to go from one end of superior to the other? So what will people be drinking in 20 years. I don't even want to think about it.

So what's the big problem. Global warming and cooling has been going on forever. How do you think we went thru 2 known ice ages? Just learn to live with it, as your not going to live forever.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I'm amazed that so many of trapping brothers know more about weather patterns, physics, etc etc over those that have the phD's. But carry on, don't let me spoil your day.

There were also at least 3 more major iceages before man even existed. The earth's temperature always has and always will continue to fluctuate. More heat is likely better for us then more cold because of food production capabilities.

Who is paying those phDs and where do they get their money for research?

Kieth I think that is the point. If we don't stay within the honey hole as they call it we can't survive. Where did the myan and aztec go to and they were civilized people climate change.

what temperature SHOULD we be at, beaverpeeler?

you didn't answer.

MAYBE, we should be 5 degrees warmer than now!

I do understand what you're trying to say here. Yes, we have been much colder and much warmer over time. But probably what would be best for mankind at this time would be that change come more gradually rather than the rapid change happening now. In the past sudden changes like those triggered by vulcano activity or meteor strikes have been accompanied by mass extinction.

“Hottest ever recorded “ When we began recording is pretty much when the earth was invented right? Lol.
We’re at the tail end of an ice age. It’s warming up no matter what…..and guess what? There’ll be another one coming. Core samples kinda show what’s been happening over the last few million years, goes a little further back than 1850 when we started recording temps. One big volcano can make our greenhouse emissions look like Mickey Mouse.

What’s gonna happen when Yellowstone goes? And it will. Or California falls into the ocean…..well ok, I guess that’s not really a big impact.

Heard Obama is selling in Marthas Vineyard with the sea level rising and all. Everyone that believes in this bull should live by it,no electric unless solar only, no fossil fuels of any kind, no fertilizer, no plastic, no heat unless they can figure out no carbon at all. That should take care of the problem.

lol, Full disclosure. I work for a scientific research company and am horrible at skinning beavers.

Climate change is probably the wrong title to name what needs to take place. As soon as that term became the hockey puck then it became political and thus instantly a virus that will not solve issues that changes in our climate are and will cause.

We talk a lot about former colder and warmer times and yes there have been several cycles over the thousands and millions of years and there will be more. The issue to me is not so much if the temp changes. 1.6 degrees C or 2.6 degrees C it is what are the impacts on our infrastructure and production systems that need to be changed, modified etc. We can't get past a 4 day storm, 2-3 decades or 2-3 generations let alone centuries. I don't think it is as selfish to ignore what is taking place as it is a form of denial and not wanting to face the real and full cost of what may need to be done to improve our infrastructure so that our billlions of humans can continue to thrive and live as well as we do. The Earth has a lot of renewable valuable resources and we don't spend much time and research in improving those or findng ways to utilize them better. We tend to fixate on the more finate and not renewable and just argue about how much there is available, how long they will last and have no real good assessment on how much it may cost to produce them in the future.

easy answer: let the free market decide what fuels/technology we use.
