I sleep for about 4-5 hours a night. So I try to stay up as late as possible. If I go to sleep too early I usually will take a small walk to the end of the driveway and back. When I come back in I do nothing but crawl back under the blankets and as soon as I warm back up I'm out for about another 2 hours or so. If I nap during the day for more than an hour I'm up all night.

I actually slept all night last night,,, my sister gave me some gummy’s that is called calm( no pot in it) she works for a chiropractor and I guess they sell a lot of it. I’m not sure if it was because of that stuff or pure exhaustion,,, or the simple fact that god heard and answered my prayers that I really needed some restful sleep.

Sounds like a winner. I would keep going on those and throw out the other stuff. By the way, I know a lot of people that have been helped with CBD, my wife being one of those. Works like a charm for her, she takes about 12 mg and she's asleep in 10-15 minutes.

I have a hard time talking asleep when I go to bed. I can't get my mind to shutoff and I'm a worrier about everything. Wish I wasn't and it's probably going to be my demise someday. I Can fall asleep easier on the couch than anything.

In my 50s and 60s, I had sleep issues. In my mid 70s, those issues have about disappeared and I fall asleep much quicker.

I drink less also.

The thing that has helped me is stretching, one thing to think about is what is waking you up, it maybe your spine problems, they can cause muscle spasms and the jolt will wake you up, so try different positions of sleep such as a chair, more pillows under your head, try taking a twisted towel and putting it in the pillow case so it supports your neck.

My physical activity right now is limited,, I’m used to hard physical work,, but things have happened that have compromised that. I tried staying out in the sun for awhile today even though it was overcast,, I read that sunlight helps create seratonin,, which breaks down into natural chemicals that can help a person sleep

If you can sleep from 10 to 3 and you aren't super tired during the day I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe adjust your sleep schedule to 12-5.
I have noticed that as I get older I require less sleep than I used to need.
Five hours is plenty unless I've been during some strenuous work. I'm 64.

Another thing I've noticed that has changed in my sleep habits is that I fall asleep very fast and get my best sleep in the first three hours or so, then I start waking up and the doze off for the next couple of hours before I finally get up around 5:30. By that time I've been awake quite awhile.

I fall asleep so fast that if I'm in hunting camp or similar situation where we are bs'ing before falling asleep, I will almost always fall asleep in mid sentence. My buddies will usually yell and wake me up so I can finish what I was saying. Drives them nuts.

I have it down to waking up just in time to feed the stove with enough coals to get it going again, then back to bed until the second waking.
