He used to be Executive Director of the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association

Grew up in Stevens Point. His father taught him how to hunt, fish and trap. Seems at first glance to be an improvement over Preston Cole IMO.

Been the county adminstrator in a neighboring county (Sheboygan) for decades. Has some executive experience and working with leaders, volunteers etc. to go with a good outdoor background. He has lived in Plymouth for many years. Sheboygan CO has an active Sheboygan CO conservation org. that umbrellas several conservation clubs and groups which I am sure have interacted with the county exec office considerably.

All appointees are political, it is a matter of to what bent and to what degree. Sheboygan County would be considered a slightly to moderately leaning county socially and fiscally and he was there 25 years so I am sure he knows both sides of the fence pretty well.

time will tell , we have a lot of what we call Deer hunting Liberals in WI.

guns are fine as long as it is their deer rifle , wood stock , bolt action

semi autos are fine as long as it is their 12ga duck gun


black guns and firearms for protection are bad , all they have ever needed is their shotgun why would anyone else need anything more.

could be this guy's heard management policy and other things might actually be good , we often share that with out deer hunting liberal neighbors.

If we're lucky, he favors wolf hunting-- though he reports to Evers so I doubt Tony would allow such a stance from his secretary. That said, I realize wolf harvesting is held up at the Federal level.

That is why the Farmers are letting the Indians Harvest them and take them onto the reservations to hang them.
