Maybe some of those BB-39 sailors would think it was fitting that new 21st century firepower warship would have the same name as their ship and memorial...?

Honor the name and history, never let those who served be forgotten. When I was in every time a name of something was reused on a new weapon or unit anything with history, the provenance was carried forward so the new bearers could honor and carry the legacy. Let's not be so quick to judge

IMO: I think it's a fitting tribute to those that lost their lives that day as well as those aboard the Arizona.

When using that name place it as the USS Arizonan. Add the "n" to make it itself.

Its not a betrayal of anyone military or otherwise.

In my military opinion.
