If I remember correctly Albers grocery store had S&H green stamps and Kroger had Top Value stamps.

My most expensive stamps are series 1934 are green and cost $200 and arr allready stuck to a pepper when I get them.

My dad would send me to the corner store...with a note ...and .35 cents ..to get a pack of Pall Malls

My dad always said gas was seven gallons for a dollar in 1938 people would say that was cheap and he would say not when you carried railroad ties for nine hour days for two bucks.

How about when mail was sent for "FREE", by military personnel overseas? In Vietnam you never paid postage on letters.

Just write "FREE" on the envelope.
