Seen some posts on here, and have been researching an E-bike for hunting.

I currently have a Surly Fat Tire pedal bike. It is the Wednesday model. Plan on selling it. It has served me well, but I am strongly considering an E-bike.

Prices of E-bikes are all over the place. Not particularly wanting to put $4,000-$5,000 in one.

Seen the Rad Power Bikes.

However I came across Dirwin Pioneer Fat Tire E-bike. Anyone have any knowledge of this brand?

Thanks

The mid drives are much better than the rear hub drives. Last longer, more power, more reliable, etc. Mid drives come in various qualities as well. I found out the hard way that the cheap nylon gears in the drives are a big deal, I shucked out the drive in my Quiet Kat. spend the money for the quality brass gears. That's my advice from someone who has owned and used them quite a bit.

If you have hilly terrain get a mid drive. The hub drives don't have the range of the mid drives in hilly country. Bafang makes a really good mid drive motor. You can convert your Surly if you wanted to, frame may flex a little from the torque of that motor though.

I use a Horse and even Ground tied it is always willing to drag a deer home. Otherwise on the Trap line I skin and either put the pelts in the Saddle Bags or else just roll them up and tie them behind the saddle.
