Looking at getting dag some trail cams for him to play with. He really enjoys it when I put mine out and show him the videos I get so gonna get him some to play with. Deal is he's not the most tech savvy and we kinda have a problem with certain people not know what's not theirs. So need something cheap. And something that pretty simple. Preferably with an option for video instead of pictures. Was gonna get him some of the cheap Tascos I use from Walmart but wanted to see if someone knows for any chicom knock off or similar that will work. Thanks 🙂

I usually run about 15 cameras. I only buy cheap ones so I can have more cameras out. I buy my cameras off of Midwayusa's clearance items. They have free shipping on orders over $75 right now. If you buy 2 of the cameras on the link below and 4 SD cards you will be over $75 Here is a link to them right now. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1024459973?pid=975164They also have the SD cards on sale. The 8G are plenty of storage for these cameras. I have about 20 of them. They are only $4.56 ea. Order with the cameras and shipping is free. Link for the 4G SD cards. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2445365893?pid=365893

I use alot of the Tasco from Walmart, work pretty well The little $30 dollar ones ? That's what I meant I use , rasco not moltrie I bought 2 to try out where theft might be an issue and have been impressed. I now use them on my property. Picture quality is not as good as the Wild Games that I have, but more than good enough. Battery life is amazing. 8 AA and I can get at least one season out of one set, I put them out mid August through Christmas and they average 30 to 50 pics per day.

I ran about 25 -30 cameras last summer. I had quite a few from Walmart loke Tasco, Wildgame Innovations, Moultrie. The Moultries were junk. The Tasco that sold for $28.50 ( now $32 or $33) worked the best. Batteries last the best. Have some still taking pictures on the same batteries I put in last March and April. I have one Spy Point cellilar camera but Have not figured it out yet. The Tasco are as simple as blinking your eye. You won't be disappointed for the price. And if they get permanently borrowed it doesn't hurt as much like if you have $200 invested in each camera.
