It is all in the training quality.

I started out with my Marlin 22 longrifle , still have it, lots of fun and definite purposes in use.

After a few years, I was introduced to my first of two FBI certified firearm instructors, the first, retired Army and Natl Guard , over 21 years in service. You would respectfully address himself as Top. He also was state police in CA for 20 years , on the front lines, and Swat Team for a while.

Top put me right on his .45 Para Ordinance , a black one grin, shortly after that, his 41 revolver...and finally, a 300 Weatherby M V.

Much later, I was introduced to the realm of 4570, 375 H&H , Mossburg short barreled Pump, and Rigby .

In that order. It is all in the training. Recoil has never bothered me and I had a blast shooting interactive targets , same as your girl.

I would not recommend someone learning in the steps that I did...unless the instructor is flawless in their training procedures. So that the learner isn't put off by any bumping.

I never had a pink one. But I still had such fun, regardless.

Good fun. Keep it up. And she will invite her friends to try.

Sounds like one heck of an experience Ms Sharon grin ! And yes we have alot of peoel wanting to come shoot now! She was showing eveyone that little video I edited up, pictures of the gun and even one of the little target stickers she shot. Put 10rd in an about a 3/4" group @25 and I took it off and said she should keep it. Went and stuck it on the back of her phone lol!.
Alot if the girls that came over for new years where saying they want to shoot but they where scare stiff of recoil or last time they (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) with their boy freind or dad it was a shot gun or deer rifle and....well y'all know the rest lol.

Sounds like youre gonna outfit a lot of gals with a fun rifle, so they can have their own first time target shots as proud showing too.

Once they see that recoil isn't a thang, they will brave right up and wonder why they didn't shoot sooner.

And obviously, the boyfriends didn't know squat how to properly teach them how to snug and cheek in , and GIVE with recoil. There's no better way to ruin a good lifetime fun sport than messing someone up. Boys too.

Once they see how fun and easy it is to shoot that pink rifle, they'll be right on it with big smiles.

All my instructors say, girls make the perfect students and are spot on shots after some practice time.

Just make sure of their eye dominance , especially cross dominant with their shooting hand. Scopes solve that naturally, however.

Have fun in the new year !

IF you want you can swap in a better trigger. I dropped a = Wilson in 1 and but a = Chip McCormic in another. Any AR 15 trigger will drop right in to it. ! Only problem I had was = Firing Pin broke at around = 9200 rds. But all and all. We ran the daylights out of rhem

grin yeah I've had to apologize to a few guys for " creating monsters" laugh I'll tell you my favorite thing is their reaction after their first group ! Almost always something along the lines of " blush THATS WASNT BAD AT ALL !! WHATS NEXT?!" most of them are absolutely terrified of either nosie or recoil. A .22lr and some cheap muffs always helps with that. Also being relaxed . I don't know why but so many guy act like they have to be the bigger hard butt navy seal super snipers. Just messes up the experience for a lot of people. Especially with most girls .
Always try and make them laugh and have them in a good mood. Have plenty of ammo for them to burn. Mistakes are ok ect . And definitely don't talk to them like their stupid or weak!
Another thing is having visual pictures. Easiest way to help with scopes if have a picture showing what it's supposed to look like though the scope vs what it's not. Say have you wanna be looking like this not this and boom 30sec of adjustments and their good .
And I'll tell ya their right about women being good students. Most guys who've asked me to teach them( which I have to say still worries me when people think I'm teaching material lol ! ) ...just turns into a whizzing match half the time everyone has something to prove yadda yadda, and lord forbid their older then you ! Most women just plain ain't like that....the one that are though.... Lord!

But now I'm actually looking at getting some bigger stuff made up in .223 I can have around grin but that's abit more down the road when I get some stuff paid off and have less iroens in the fir and more $$

Yeah I keep hearing about the firing pin breaking but 9000 Rd seems like a decent deal imo. And I have don't a drop in trigger yet but I did replace the trigger springs. Got them down to 3lbs . And eveyone whose used it so dare love it !

Yeah the AR platform isn't for everyone and that fine IMO. Personally for everything I like to do I'd prefer a bolt gun but the AR wins out because I don't need to be a gunsmith to build and tinker on one laugh
I'll tell you though one big advantage is peoel love to "rock and roll" with a semi auto. I eand of telling people to slow down a lot. That being said I've had a lot of folks who can empty a mag as fast as they can and still out shoot me group wise laugh

Wolf dog, I used to be an NRA certified rifle instructor, and Boy Scout rifle instructor, and you are spot on about girls/women usually being easier to teach.
