Idaho Trappers Association fur sale is quickly approaching, and we need your fur and antlers! It is in the same location at the fairgrounds in Glenns Ferry Idaho on Jan 20-22. I received calls from two new craft buyers that need fur! Still a lot of interest in beaver, otter, bobcats (both low and high grade), lynx, wolves, marten and fox. Sounds like prices will be down for muskrats and coyotes and they will be up for marten, otter, beaver and bobcats. Everything else will be similar to last year's prices but I am encouraged with all of the calls lately from buyers. Even with low prices the two craft guys that called me today would be aggressively buying muskrats and coyotes. Tanned fur sells well at our sales as well. All skulls have value, please have them frozen in buckets to make things cleaner. Save your feet on certain animals as well, yes, the feet. Cut off at the first joint and then freeze. The animal feet that have value are bobcats, skunk, marten, fox, badger front feet and all game birds. Deer, elk and moose antler market is still hot and bring any taxidermy pieces you want to sell as well. Used traps can also be put on to the auction as well. If you are shipping fur then it needs to be getting sent ASAP. I need all fur received at my house by Jan 15th or so. Everyone must be an ITA member to sell and commissions are the same as they have been for years. 5% to sell and 2% to buy.
Please look through the fur sale schedule below, it will be a fun time. We have worked hard to make a great event with a lot of things to do and see. A few of those demos are can't miss events! That Friday night predator round table is a legendary lineup! Saturday night we have live music again, free admission. Making a great event brings more trappers, which brings more fur, which brings more buyers, which means extra prices for you. Please remember that commissions and donations for this sale are used to keep the association running. We need donations brought to the sale and mailed in! Old traps, new traps, handmade items, tanned items, practically anything.
Thanks
