Seems bad this year here. Can't throw a rock without hitting someone that has had the flu this winter. Everyone says it's the sickest they've been in a long time. I came down with it the day after Christmas. I haven't had the flu since I was 13 or so. 25 years and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Four days of 102 temp., Coughing my lungs out, body aches, etc. Still haven't got my energy back. Walk to the pickup and I'm winded. This crap going around ain't no joke this year.

Nope. None of us 3 in my household has been sick this winter but a lot of sickness around. Maybe our time will come, maybe not. I hope the rest of you are now "over the hump" and sickness for the season is now in the past for you...

Covid is attacking the elderly in my city. Most have the first booster but not the covalent one. Let's see if you can deduce CDC data. Scroll down to the table preview and look at the rows of information on "vaccinated" people in the age groups of 50-64 and 65+. And by you own words you said "Covid is attacking the elderly in my city. Most have the first booster but not the covalent one." You might want to do a tad more research before you spout off and look rather ignorant. https://data.cdc.gov/Vaccinations/Archive-COVID-19-Vaccination-and-Case-Trends-by-Ag/gxj9-t96fThis table was updated October 20, 2022. So if covid is "attacking them", then why get the first jab or the booster? 90+% "vaccination" rate? How effective is this jab Charles? I didn't make this up.

And if you want to be specific to asheville/buncombe county, here is more pertinent information. 106.07% with first jab. 76.78% with second jab. Information updated December 7, 2022. https://data.citizen-times.com/covid-19-vaccine-tracker/north-carolina/37/It took me less than 5 minutes to find all this info. You need to stop watching CNN and MSLSD. Being inaccurately negative can sure bring a person down along with those around them.

mom had the flu type A for thanksgiving week at the same time grandma her mom got covid and got over it faster than mom did the flu
so we put off thanksgiving another week
since Christmas everyone at my house has been sick
I have one home from school day 2 right now
my wife and son both took a day off work last week when they had it
lots of drainage and a rattling cough
seems to hold on for a while
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

106.07% with first jab.... How do they get more than 100%? Did a handful of people enjoy it so much they went back for another shot?

My wife has all the covid shots and still tested positive in December. She was off work for 4 days, typical covid symptons.I never tested positive but but have had flu like symptoms that go away and then come back,3 times so far.At its worst getting out of bed and getting dressed took all the wind out of me.Lot better now but still get winded easily.Nyquill, tea with lemon and honey and lots of rest (sleep) helps me get over it but this strain doesn't want to let go.

don't know what is causing this , but a lot of people sick, around here we are raising our grandkids , they have been sick since school started maybe a day or two they are ok and then back to sick, me and the wife have caught everything that the kids bring home , NOT GOOD !!!!!, how is it where you guys are , down here with the trolls there seems to be a decent amount of sickness so far thru the fall and early winter. a touch of covid here and there but also a touch of flu along with other colds and influenza like illnesses. but id also say its not out of the norm for the season either. in fact from just a flu type scenario its relatively calm in comparison to what we see in some years at this point. after a couple of years of the cdc saying everything was covid and there was hardly any flu worldwide I think we are back to more normal diagnosis and treatment routines.

Schools are basically sesspools of disease! My Mom used to tell how when one neighbor kid got sick with Mump, Chicken pox or whatever, they would have a party day so everybody could catch it and then be done with it.
Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

I've had it i the guts for a week or more now. Loose guts, no other symptoms. Might be somethin I ate but should have cycled out by now. Hideous ...... That would be the infamous "creeping crud".
