I’m sending in some furs to be tanned with Moyle, question I have is I have a mink I’d like to send in, do I need to remove the saddle and all the fat under the saddle? I have put up several and fur Buyers have liked the way I put them up. But do I need to remove the saddle for Moyle?

Are rats the same?

If they are getting tanned right away then I would say no. Long time storage w/o removing the fat can cause problems with the finished product.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

No you don't have to remove the saddle. I have sent many rats and mink to moyles and have always left the saddle on. Their tanning is top notch. These were always this years fur as Ive never stored fur over a season.
