Had two AMCs, a'71 Javelin SST, w/ 401 and a Matador, bought CHEAP at a GSA auction, lol.

AMC did make fine commercials though!

I had an AMC Matador
Ignition caught fire so my brother in law wired me up a fine - Toggle switch to start it. Hahaha
$100 dollar car

I had a chance to get a Rebel 'machine' years ago for free. It was rough and needed a bunch. Rare car but not worth much then. I turned it down. Wish now I got it. Worth a few bucks today.

I seem to recall my Mother having a Demon for a while when I was pretty young. As I recall it was a real gem. I also remember Dad had a late 60's Baracuda and that was FAR more memorable!

I had a 64 1/2 Valiant Baracuda (first year of production) 340cid marine engine in it , Hemi 4speed , posi 8 3/4" , drag car-street legal.

Mom and dad had a '76 Matador,beautiful car,2 door brown on the outside ,wood panel look on the instrument panel with cloth seats.We thought we were styling with a built in 8 track player and a CB.

Any AMC wouldn't last two or three years in the salted roads up here for some reason. Fastest rusting make of car I've ever seen.
