If you're good at running them they sound great, but for me they shine in the fall I've used slate and diiafram calls with no response and then my wingbone or trumpet and had them respond right back.

So what you guys are calling a trumpet call is basically a wing bone call made of something other than wing bones?

I've been making my own wing bone calls for years from the wild turkeys I kill.
