Been watching the series 1923. It is way better than the current Yellowstone. Last couple of episodes of Yellowstone all they want to do is show people riding a horse moving cattle and some untalented cowboy singing a song over top of it. Plus the flash backs are more scenes than the real time .

If you haven't watched any of the 1923 it is REALLY GOOD . Lot like the first season of Yellowstone. Before they ran out of storylines......

My friends ranted and raved about "Yellowstone", I watched some episodes with them but it just seemed like Game of Thrones on horse back. I didn't really want to keep watching it.

I'm enjoying it also and I would say more than Yellowstone currently, the Africa segments have been awesome, Native American servant training is inhumane and you feel for those young ladies and I have developed an older woman crush for Helen Mirren's part of Cara Dutton.

That "beating " the savage out of them apparently even went on in Canada. I am watching a series on Netflix called 3 pines. It is about a murder mystery set in Canada. One of the crimes was committed in a "school" for native Indians. Showed the trap door "locker" the girls were sent to when they even spoke their native language.

I have been watching 3 pines and If things keep going like they have there won't be anyone left alive In 3 pines. LOL

I don't think 1923 compares to Yellowstone. I think when Dutton comes back from Africa a lot of sheep herders are going to die.

No one compares with Beth on Yellowstone.

True about beth. But look closely last 2 episodes she is hardly in them in the "present time" scenes.

I'm not sold on 1923, too many storylines, though the Africa story is pretty good. The Indian girls?, where's that leading?

Haven't watched this years Yellowstone yet, but Beth was the best part of that show.. grin

1883 was the best of the bunch, enjoying 1923 and enjoyed Yellowstone!

I bet the Indian girl ends up being Monica's grandmother or aunt or such.
The Indian angle, where is it leading? A political statement I think. After the subjugation of the Indians in the late 1800s there was a push to 'Americanize' what was left. The U S Government let NGO organizations take younger Indian kids and domesticate them. Make potato diggers and housewives out of them. Sometimes by force. Forced sterilizations also. Lot of hard feelings to this day. I'm not coming in on one side or the other. It's just dark history. Canada did it too, not just the U S. Anyway, that's the Indian story line in 1923 IMO.

I agree that it’s better. It’s really good. Taylor Sheridan does a good job.

I do think it’s ridiculously long between episodes though. By the time the next episode comes out, people would have forgotten about watching it. A month between episode release is too long in my opinion

Watch both as much as possible ! Montanan's appreciates the money. Its been a good boost to the economy and the production people treat the locations real well financially. Very professional.

To show Indians what victims they were and how white people owe all natives reparations still to this day, for inhumane treatment that no one alive today is responsible for.

Its what Hollywood left wing nut jobs do all the time, the Monica storyline for example, is one victim incident after another, it is nauseating.

Yellowstone and it's other forms is doing what Urban Cowboy did for the hatter beaver trade back in the 80's

Right now hatter beaver is about the only thing that has a solid demand, we may not like the prices that much but at least you can sell them all.

I dont have tv anymore. Previously, I thought we could watch Yllowstone on Paramount Plus but not so now? I dont remember exactly. Our Paramount app now wont work, but I saw the 1st episode of 1923 on Pluto tv. It was awesome. I wanna see the rest. My buddy at work knows Ive seen all the episodes of Yellowstone til this current season, and he told me not to bother with this season because it’s complete crap and he wants his time back from watching it. That said, dont spoil it to justify why you think he’s wrong.

On an unrelated note, I watched Wind River the other night for the 3rd time. Still awesome.
