Looking for a local fur buyer in the Hudson Valley/Catskills area. Seems like the only fur buyer I can find is Mark Charpenteir in kerhonksen and both seasons I’ve texted him trying to talk he’s been nasty/short with me.

Any other options besides an auction?

Auction in Herkimer first Saturday of February. Usually draws more buyers than any other local sale in the state

I dealt with Mark some years ago, he was fine then, but things happen I guess.

I'm happy Gebo is still buying. I was talking to a trapper on Amish Dan and Warren Krum passing and he told me about Gebo.

I'd bet money Tom will still be buying at the sales. He's quite solvent and still has big inventory. He'll be at Herkimer.

Tom is still in it and in my opinion the top dog in this area top notch guy.

And yes dan did pass away sure will miss him.

Bob, no beaver this year?

I don't trap fall beaver any more since
DEC and NYSTA forced us to start rat trapping
and beaver season on the same day.

Had to choose one or the other and I picked rats.

Loosing that 1st week of rat season screwed me
out of my most productive time for rat trapping.

I don't trap beaver through the ice in cold weather
any more either so it's just spring after ice out beaver for me.

Selling my beaver raw, frozen, and un-fleshed because Groney rocks !!
