Anyone know of a distributor I can call that will actually answer the phone? I'm only looking for about half dozen or so. I've tried Whitetail Hill and Chestnut Hill......... guess nobody wants my money.

Trash your goals and plans for life. Just wing it and you'll never be let down!

American Chestnut Society is headquartered in Weaverville (Asheville), NC.

Google them. They sell some plants every year I think.

I buried about 30 chestnuts early last fall. If you can get the nuts, it is the best way I found for them to well survive. They will break open and sprout this spring and take off like wildfire. Plant the nut with the flat light color, down. IMO

Good luck!

Watching this on- I have zero chestnut trees and zero experience with them- I see Dunstan & Chinese Chestnuts in a lot of whitetail threads. Supposedly the Chinese derivative is less suspectable to fungal cankers but not sure how hardy it is for colder temps.
