I would like to start reading some books on Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers. Any recommendations?

Jeff said life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I guess all we can do is chase happiness?

I like this stuff too, but don't remember book titles. Your local library should have enough to keep you busy for awhile.

Anything by David McCullough.
His "John Adams" should fit the bill

Finished 'John Adams' last year, excellent book.
Jon Meacham's "Jefferson: The Art of Power" is the only Jefferson biography I've read, and enjoyed it.

Monticello was $$$ last time I went, and it's been a while.
Heard it got " woke" too...

Not exactly what you asked for but a good book on the next generation is "Heirs of the Founders". It's about Henry Clay, John Calhoun, and Daniel Webster. It covers the 1830-1860 period. It's available on Amazon.
