I've never seen a True Value trap trap before. Who made this trap?
It's a #1 that I bought at an Estate Sale a couple of days ago for $1.00. I bought it for the trap tag that was attached as I collect tags.
It also has an in-line factory swivel.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I could be wrong but I don't think the swivel is factory.

My opinion as well. I’ve got a dozen or so of these traps and none of them have that swivel that I recall.

Thank you all for the replies. I appreciate the info.
Do you think the notch cut in the pan is an owner I.D. mark?

Yes, on the notch on the edge of the pan being a trappers mark. I see that a lot. Some times 2 or 3 notches.

My #1.5 victor coil fox traps in the mid to late 1970's all had those in line swivels
installed by me to increase the swiveling and prevent the chain from binding up.

Don't remember the name or brand of these swivels but they were one of the
of two preeminent inline swivels of the time along with Webley's which was
the other popular brand.

So no, that swivel is not an original, stock inline swivel for that trap.

Betting it was made by Victor or Blake and Lamb for the hardware store to sell. How is the pan attached to the base? Looks like a hump so I’d guess Victor.
