2 different bottom line pinnings...throwing out the obvious bad bottom line on the one, is there anything wrong with either?

The one on the right is correct.
Nothing wrong with any type of pinning that allows the skin to dry without tainting,but proper skirting will get you more money in the long run,since there will be no judgement call on size or quality when you stick to the standards.
If a grader has to make a judgement call he will always err on the conservative side.

Either one Is fine you won't be down graded on that slight difference. What effects 99% of any grade is leather and fur quality.

Get some hardware cloth to use on the tails. It does just as good of a job with a lot less work .
What does the belly side look like.

Not super happy with the bellies after drying a couple days. The window on the left one got way bigger than I remember. Guess I shoulda left some of the fur on the front.

Looks good. No value on belly fur. You have a good inspection window.
