Round here the go to is dawn dish soap. Nuff water to allow you to spray it (pump up, or bottle sprayer), sposed to work pretty good!

I just picked up my Ski-doo Expedition from the dealer today. Problem-MICE. I can not seem to keep them out of the carburetor boxes in both the snowmobile and my Arctic Cat ATV. I have tried moth balls in the past and last Spring someone recommended Peppermint so I got some that came in bags specifically to deter rodents and I put them in multiple locations on and in the machine and I still had issues. I'll be watching this thread closely and hope that someone has the answer. I had the problem with them getting into my Polaris air box and chew up my air cleaners.they even had babies in the air box. I put a steel screen over air box and no more problems.

Another round of thanks to the green movement; Soy based wire insulation. I hear some new vehicles are having lots of the same problems, just be glad it's not a new $80,000 truck.
What year and make of ATV? I'll be sure to steer clear of them.

The only problem I've had with using poison is them dying out of sight and when they thaw in the spring they really tend to stink up the barn for a couple weeks

Mouse bucket trap. They keep working and don’t stop with one mouse. I use non poisonous RV antifreeze in the bucket to drown them and it also stops them from smelling. Ace hardware I believe has them and it covers the top of the bucket so your pets can’t get into it. I use them at our camp.

Have Been There, Done or seen all the ABOVE............ I have been using Boco's recommend, even stopped weasel trapping near my abode. I do use a homemade bait mix= Dry uncooked Oatmeal & Dry Plaster of Paris. Mix is put on cookie sheets & placed where kept DRY..... No need too provide toilet paper....... Target specifically. Works for ME. Tut

I hate it when they move the poison to my boot or some other item That is why I only use bar bait, anything they can move and hoard they will leading to unintended poisonings. Keep the bait outside the buildings your having trouble in. It helps to keep them out. I've been using outside bait stations I made from 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe. This is what I patterned my bait stations from. I didn't do the feet, just tie to a stake, and used a piece of heavy wire to hold the bait. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/65808856
