I'm looking for hip boots that will fit people with large calves and legs. we have tried several kinds to no avail. Does anybody else have this issue, and if so can you recomend hip boots.

Dans can make you some. They’re not rubber tho. You can pick a rubber boot they have an they’ll sew their chaps on them.

I have a pair of Lacrosse Trapline and they fit me with no room to spare in the calf. Last year I got a pair of Dan's Froglegs with the Dryshod Haymaker boot which has more calf room. I am very happy with them. Light and comfortable.

Even boots with chaps can be a problem…the lower boot can be tight on the calves even if the upper chap isn’t. The next pair I buy, I’m going to look for a lower boot that zips on the upper calf.

walleyed is six years searching for hip boots to fit my
23" diameter calf muscle.

My legs swell due to diabetic issues and no brand of hip boot
has a leg diameter between the shin & the knee that will allow
my calf to fit.

Cold water trapping without boots isn't much fun.

Still looking.

DANS. They will make you a custom pair. You will be super happy, best you ever thought of having. Yes, they are expensive, but are the best hands down. If you take care of them, they should last many years. You can pick whichever boot you want, whatever top you want and they will sew them up for you, 100% waterproof. Check them out and give them a call. Great people.

My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!
