Found a book after my gma passed about the history of the town we live outside of, my great grandpa was a rural mail carrier, here is a pic of his first day on the job

My Grandfather was a rural mail carrier in McGregor Iowa.
Horse and buggy then model T.
One time he was sick so Grandma carried the mail.
Thunderstorm. Lightning strike killed the horse.
They were tough back then.
As a kid I played in the mail wagon.
