Been on Eliquis for many years. Had blood clots in the lungs during pneumonia. Was instructed that if I have a serious blow to the head one has to have a cat scan of the area immediately. Brain bleeds equal to a stroke is possible. Cuts heal at a normal rate but always carry band aids for those senior moments. Roy

Having had open heart surgery back in April, things were going well, until this past December, when I blacked out at the local post office, after bending down to retrieve a package from a lock box. After being pulled to my feet, I drove myself to a nearby hospital, to find I had blood clots blocking both of the veins on either side of my neck . . . ( Well, I knew something was wrong ) They admitted me me and then took me by ambulance to Christ Hospital in downtown Cincinnati, where I under went surgery to remove those clots, that, if had broken free, could have either caused a stroke or ended my life. I was released after a week of being in the hospital. Today I am on two types of blood thinners, Plavix and Eliquis, and I have a stint in the shape of a Y. One thing about it, I don't want to cut myself shaving again. . .
I still trap, but I'm very careful about what I do. Glad you are doing well. I never had a beard before but grew the beginnings of one when recovering in the hospital. It's really grown now and just trim it. No shaving. Trapping? Weasel boxes close to the road...low maintenance and fun.

I take xarelto, it is expensive, cost me about $150 per month and I think the insurance pays around $300 per month.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.
