Anyone have one? Pros? Cons?

I'm sure one can be built cheaper. I'm just asking a question about them.

I used to watch their show, I'm not sure who makes the rifles for them.
I had Virgin Valley from UT,build my T.20 out of my browning bolt action, shoots the best of any rifle I've used yet

They have an excellent reputation. And I believe their platform uses a Defiance custom action...one of the best made. I've personally built over a dozen custom rifles, and I wouldn't hesitate if you were serious. Call them and talk to them. Ask them what is different about their rifles compared to other big names.

How much do they cost? I’ve got a friend who builds competition rifles every week. He is not cheap but when you look at his expenses he not really making a fortune putting out 52-54 rifles a year.Swift Creek Rifles

Cost of something is relative. A family of four living on 40,000 a year is going to think plan and budget so dad can get a 1000 dollar rifle including scope and 5 boxes of ammo.

A family of four living on 500,000 a year, 10,000 is not a huge expense. Can be easier budgeted in than the other guys 1000 dollar purchase.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I had Zack from https://www.olddominioncustomrifles.com build me 6 rifles in the last 5 yrs. Everyone one shoots great.

You would be happy with a rifle built by him. I send him a Remington 700 action and he blueprints the action. I find the barrel that I'm looking and he threads its and installs it. Then chambers it to the caliber that I want.

I agree with your ratios and point.

I however don't see the marginal benefit when a nice $500 ruger or savage rifle will be accurate to 3-400yds or so, Beyond this range the cost seems to go up exponentially for rifles.

Admittedly I am not into the long range shooting craze as we don't have any ground where this is possible or safe here.

Same reason some guys drive Kias and some drive Ferraris. Both get you from point A to point B. You only live once.

I'd find a local gunsmith and visit with them as well I turned a pre 72 Sako into a new rifle with a Krieger barrel and I couldn't be happier .
Back then the barrel cost was $ 900.00 installed I did my own brake in period so to speak at the range this was from Randy Melvin at Bull Mountain Rifle Co . Back then he was building many target rifles for some big named shooters which I'm sure hasn't changed much since then not bad for a one guy shop in Billings Mt .

The wait time then was close to 9 months you don't want to rush them ha ha
