Short these two on steel ( 4" gongs) and varmints all the time @100-150yd but never did any paperwork to check my data. So decided why not try grin

Also really wanted to check to see how accurate the BDC in my Lyman Peep was. Seems when I'm shooting steel if I put it on 100 I make hits . Soooo.

Fair warning- the precision rimfire rabbit hole is a deep one to get started down! Varying cartridge weights, rim thicknesses..

Eley and Lapua make some “match grade” ammo. It’s amazing how junk most of the available rimfire is and how much you can wrap into the good stuff!

You're adventurous- I'll give you that

I only use my 10/22's with common ammo at 10 to 50yds.

My record shot with a .22lr was on a fox at 180yrds. I aimed 17" over his head and behind his shoulder on a downhill angle. Double lunged him but he still ran 150yrds after shot. (Winchester Wildcat ammo).

I practice at 100 but usually limit my shots to 50yrds and under on actual animals. This time i had enough of the fox stealing my chickens and I took the opportunity i had to be rid of him.

Better to be lucky than good sometimes.

The grey rifle is a cz 457 LRP
The orange is a cz 457 MTR
The green is a vudoo

The czs do shoot very well- but from my first had experience they don’t quite compare to the vudoo stuff in the factory configurations at least. The optic depends on what you are trying to do- for strictly something like usbr/ara/ibs targets at a given a range I use a fixed 36x sightron and it works great. I also have a vortex - viper pst gen 2 5x25 and an Athlon (ares model maybe)? Also in 5x25.

Anything other than a set distance from the bench all the time and the fixed power is very unpractical.

We started doing a yearly family rimfire competition and things escalated quickly 😂

We have had a great time with it all though! I shouldn’t have left rws out of the list of match grade ammo suppliers

Dang I thought I was good. Shot a golf ball with a .22 ruger single 6 at 100 yards first shot on a bet. Won the bet and never tried again lol. Don't think I could do it again in 100 trys.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Friend of mine shoots a 22 rim fire he made himself.

But he did buy the Action .
From a place in Texas for 2500.00 4 years ago
He uses Eley and other 22 ammo

Gets 2 inch groups @ 250 yards

Killough shooting sports is Texas based and they deal in some benchrest actions. The 2500x is a very common one in the rimfire benchrest world. They also do eley lot testing
