JR it's like you said it could've been worse , I like many others are glad it wasn't ! I've got a feeling that you will get a shot off at her and that cub .
The marten is sure quite cute little bugger mice pack rat's and squirrels shouldn't be a problem while she's around the cabin either .
Darn nice moose he shot !
We're getting the Snow you're missing today it's nearly a white out here now .
Enjoy your day and Stay Safe out there even if you don't want to ha ha ! Allan

What a difference you both made in that mess cleanup.
At least, I noticed, she didn't tear up the foam pad seats on your chairs...I wonder if you could still find more totes like the one that weathered the tooth test . Can't figure why they had to mess up the woodpile. Or why the back wall was chosen to tear into. I'm always trying to figure any possible logic into what they do to stuff.
Bears here do like to chew into generators, gas cans, oil, something about that they like, chewing rubber hose connectors, etc.
I can feel how you felt at seeing all this, from some experiences of my own. Not just the break in, but the ensuing sheer mess. Yes it could have been worse , and you two cleaned things up very well in a short time.
I am good at tackling messes like that....from hurricane cleanup in my days in FLA. I graduated from that to developing a system of organized cleanup , that has worked well in helping friends with their places, and in restoring order to manage 20 stall horse barns with apartments attached. Inherited messes to organize. The system I've “invented” works very well and keeps the mind focused and not overwhelmed.
The main thought I had during all your video, which you of course mentioned, was that those burglars will be back. They follow the same behavioral pattern here too. Until they are stopped.
The siding you mentioned sounds like timely, good insurance to implement immediately.
If anyone wonders of animals reacting to their reflection in glass, just observe birds fighting their image , bumping into glass for minutes on end, to see your thoughts on blinds is spot on.
I call that wee marten Ivory....for her toes. I am borrowing your shots of her for a future portrait.
Glad you took video of all this. It is good education for anyone to learn from, and for your continued history of your life collection.

I always like when they take a big dump on the floor just to let you know what they really think about you Those bears are educated and won't stop until someone takes them out. We used a bear fence, you can get them with solar panels so they work all season. We got ours from a place in Anchorage that designed and tested them in Alaska, worked great and sure gives you some piece of mind.

Sure do enjoy your videos. I like hearing your thoughts as you find things or look around. Really like the neat arrangement of tools, the hangers, and keeping the ground clean , even controlled burn . Seeing how folks keep their gear , and why they prefer certain arrangements in using equipment. I keep an orderly camp, orderly clean anything. It just looks so good, makes one feel clean to see that. I'm the same way, made bed, every day , keep things in their place. I cannot tolerate a cluttered mess in the house, grounds, or anywhere. Like the Aussie tour ovah da glassier Airboats are so great. It amazes me how you go at speed and know where to traverse in the river , around the gravel beds and stuff sticking out of the bends in places. And that wee loping mink. Thank you, JR. That "wee loping mink" is one of the biggest I have ever seen. B&C for sure !

Good luck dealing with those bears. They just don't belong in areas that are used as residence by humans. Nothing good ever comes of it.
Just doing what I want now.

I know someone who may be interested in helping you get rid of one of those bears JR. I'll shoot you a PM about it.
