A revenue generator pulled me over today for using my phone while driving

I'm not really inclined to start licking boots for the remote chance he gives me a warning

So after a few words he takes my license back to his car , I already know I'm getting a ticket at this point

He comes back and tells me " a study shows people on cells phones are just as dangerous as drunk drivers "

I said that's bull s......... I guess I've been driving around drunk for the last 30 yrs then , and I don't drink


He wasn't ammused

It's just taxation without representation.

Back in the middle ages highway robbers would stop people, who were traveling and take their money. Nowadays, the highway patrol does.

It's only a law to generate revenue , it's a go to ....

No law against stuffing your face with a cheese burger , holding a Coke , and driving with one knee

Amazes me, don’t look now, but the HP and sheriffs around here are on the phone and their onboard computer around here! But in Ks, you can talk on your cell, just can’t text. It don’t stop em from doing it though!

Why what?? Let’s see you come on to a public forum and complain about getting caught for breaking a law, mouthing off to the officer because you don’t want to be a “bootlicker”, and getting a ticket. If you’re just looking for sympathy please add a disclaimer to your post stating thats what you’re looking for.

FYI, all those activities could fall under the distracted drivers law. It is not specifically listed as illegal to eat while driving, but the "distracted driver" can be applied. It's one of those pesky laws designed for the safety of other people, while you.re driving.
The seat belt law on the other hand.........

This one counts as my first even though I had one a few years ago , due to some across the board forgiveness in 2018 . So he says

He told me a second one in a ten year period from today's date would be $450

A third one in ten yrs would be a crime ...... whatever that is .....guy on cell phone crime ?

Sorry Antigov I interpreted it more as a bashing police post given the attitude you gave the officer and your last line “no real police work”. I’m not too wise, that was a nickname from high school that I used about 20 years ago when I created this account. If I lived in Oregon I’d probably be Antigov too.
