Hey gents, I am in the process of replacing a frost-free hydrant on my farm. I found the previous owner ran 3/4" copper pipe to the barns for the current hydrants. I'm curious since I'm digging it up anyway, can use a sharkbite Tee connector on one hydrant to run an additional line for a new hydrant 50' farther to another barn? IMO you can never have too much water or electricity. I have a high water table, and after digging a hole, it begins to fill up quick. These compression type fittings would make this project go much quicker, and not have to deal with sweating pipe in a moist environment if they work.

this was the fitting I was thinking of using
3/4 in. Push-to-Connect x Push-to-Connect x FIP Brass Expansion Tank Tee Fitting

I have used them both on pex and copper lines. Really great invention as far as I’m concerned. No issues to date.
I don’t know if I understand your entire situation but if your thinking of burying those connections underground THAT I have never done. Will moisture get to the seems from the outside and frost freeze them causing leakage? Maybe no biggy?
We’re I to bury those I would wrap them really good with Polly, plastics, something so if I ever have to replace them it would be easy as they would be clean where the release has to slide in.

yes, the connections and new line would be buried up to the next frost free hydrant. I figured they would need to be wrapped or protected somehow. I've never used these types of fittings before, so it's all new to me.
