Found 30% Concentrate Vinegar at Home Depot. That should sparkle up some traps!

It will shine them up faster, but acid neutralization will become extremely critical. Of course, you can always cut the concentration back. Just got to look at the economics (time and $$$)

Wow! The cheap stuff I use is only 5%. Bet you could dip and pull in an hour with that.

It reacts with the rust to give you a clean trap. Or to put a light surface layer of rust on a clean trap so you can wax.

The cheap store brands work fine, just takes a little longer, 15 bucks sounds not cost effective.

If you have to remove that much rust you have to know that the rust was once metal. Diminishing rewards, IMO. Regular grocery store cheap vinegar has worked well for me in removing previous paint/dip trap coatings.
Sometimes more isn’t better in regards to the OP’s high concentration vinegar.

I think you meant so you can dye it. Rust isn't needed for waxing.

Does the odor of vinegar evaporate off pretty quick?

I imagine it would be best to stay upwind. Acetic acid is stronger than Formic Acid and the Formic I use to treat for mites in the bees will take your breath away. It'll also give a little tingle it you get on anywhere sensitive.

Use the cheap stuff by adding to water, a 50/50 ratio.
