What is everyone’s favorite trapping hat? Oilskin? Trucker hat? Commercially made fur hats for winter?

I use to wear just a random beanie that I had and that worked but since my hair is so long now, I just wear a normal baseball hat/trucker hat. Works for me and keeps my hair out of my face. If I need my head warmer, I just put my hood up.

Nice. I have an old buck knives trapper hat with rabbit hair. Pretty warm.

Baseball cap or a stocking cap for me if it's pretty cold.

My FAVORITE was a red baseball style that said,
Beef: Real Food for Real People.

I actually had a few of them, wife had a gig handing them out at livestock shows, etc, back in late '80s for Beef Industry.

But from wearing the same one for months on end, and constantly adjusting it with dirt, lure, and other unsavory substances, the bill became a brown mess, and was visually and olfactorlly offensive to some.

It was forcibly removed from me and sacrificially burned during a drunken campfire with a bunch of coworkers one night.

Next day, was sporting a new one.

Regular ball cap, real cold, ball cap and wool watch cap pulled over it. Really cold?, ball cap, wool watch cap, and a hood....I don't know how anyone manages without a hood.......
