I got another cell cam recently. This one is a Moultrie Edge. Have had it out for 2 days on some corn to "inventory" bucks that survived the season on one of my hunting properties.

The camera is "so far-so good. But, the Moultrie app is AWESOME!

The app recognizes different critters/objects and automatically totals & graphs the pics based on time of day, temperature, and moon phase. It can be customized with additional tags/filters.

Now...I'm not sure how accurate this is or is gonna be, but so far it is spot on....and the camera has only been out 2 days. The app is recognizing the buck pics fairly accurately.

Easy to see that this is gonna be VERY handy info. The graph below is just the buck-only pics from past 48 hrs showing time of day. If season was still open...then 0700 to 0900 would be the time to pay attention at that location.

Any kind of trail camera illegal here now when hunting seasons start !!

I don't know about some states....crazy laws. But, part of that problem is all on public hunting land. I dont do the public thing very often and my cameras NEVER go public.

Just saying don't pay much attention to other states. Mine is hard enough to keep track of as it is LOL

I have a great customer using these phone cameras in Canada with my calling units loves the set up
they produce great pictures and he is really happy with the units, plus he sends me pics for my testimonial
picture book plus vids sometimes, can't beat that for advertisement

4 sure on the advertisement. I've had some catches using your units that I am positive would not have happened without them.

I bought an Edge and Browning recently but haven't put either through their paces yet. Both were easy to set up and I really like the apps, the Edge in particular. We'll see how they do once they're in the woods. I can say the trigger speed and recovery time of the Browning is noticeably faster...but it cost twice as much.

Cell cams have really helped with hog reduction efforts. I can be on a sounder within 10min after getting a pic. And if they are consistent enough I can be sitting in the truck on site waiting for that first pic. I run mine all year long. They’re out now looking for predators and some are watching traps.

Set that camera to categorize turkey gobblers by spur length and I’ll be impressed lol.

Lol...but it does automatically recognize turkeys.

Putting cameras on scrapes is better anyway......except for this time of year.

This Moultrie app recognizes hogs in the pics and the same info can be generated by selecting only hogs in the filter. Pretty handy organization when the cameras are taking a bunch of pics.
