I don’t know if this would work on all models but it does on my Duke 110’s.
Just a simple 3/8” green garden stake and a zip tie.
It’s a pretty solid set up and won’t rotate.

Guess I’m looking at it wrong but how would it fire being zip tied?

Because the zip tie is only attached to one arm of the spring.

That trap will fire no problem.
I dont see what would stop it from rotating though.

I know it works and have caught several muskrats and a mink with the method. There is no way to safely set this creek because of high, steep banks and very quick drop offs into 6’ plus deep water. Now I can set the edge sets from the banks safely.

I use long saplings for stakes for things like that. Wire the spring to the stake kinda like you have it. I have some 12 foot ones for deep runs and steep banks.

Just passin through

I would probably be making making some sets by those Trees leaning towards the river? Looks like a good spot?

I'm jealous of you guys that have rivers with muddy bottoms you can push stakes into. I have gravel and rock bottom rivers that I can hardly rive rebar into.

you can zip tie one jaw to a stake and the trap will still fire.

I use the old plaster lathe that comes in big bundles cheap from lumber yards. They are 4” long. Fits through the eye perfectly. When you position the trap on it it won’t slide or bend. Light and beavers leave it alone.
