Good meat breed and the added bonus of nice fur too. I processed several this week and will be doing another dozen or so Monday morning. I have a local buyer picking up pelts Monday afternoon. Buyer stated they wanted to tan and make pillow and possibly a blanket.

We've had some Rex and other breeds for 4-H projects. They tend to die of old age because everyone (me included) gets attached to them.

Very neat. How much are you getting per pelt?

I just caught my mini Rex in a cage trap.
When I was in the hospital with my wife someone left the bunny cage open all three escaped.
Last summer I caught the black female Netherlands dwarf, the grey Netherlands dwarf male I never saw again.
The mini Rex female was hanging around and I caught her and four cotton tail rabbits.
I use the poop for compost

Donnersurvivor- buyer is offering $5 each, green with heads intact.

Tactical.20-Besides eating them, the manure is the 2nd best benefit of having rabbits. We put a literal ton of rabbit manure on the gardens each year, and sell around 2 tons of rabbit manure annually, seems like there is never enough to go around.

What kind of prices you get for rabbit poop? Thought of raising rabbits for my own garden.

We sell 40 pound bags of unsifted manure for $8. I have between 30-100 rabbits at any given time because of how we stagger our breeding program. The kits get weaned and fed out. Either they are sold for breeders, show, & pets or get processed. In the meantime, they provided abundant bunny berries to offset the cost of feed and amend our soil. They are by far the easiest animals we have ever raised.
