Second Video complete! Great first week on the Trapline. Two Lynx and a Wolf. Both lynx caught in 330s in the same set and the wolf was caught in a wolf snare. I also demonstrate another wolf set using a wolf turd in this video. I hope everybody likes it and has a great day.

Yeah that wolf had an awesome coat. A buddy of mine spotted some wolverine tracks a bit outside of my line, so I’m hoping that it heads my way soon. Thanks y’all for watching

It was a great day. The temp was at least -30 maybe a bit colder, but with the right gear it’s no problem at all. Yeah it’s nice to have another person out there with you when your trapping lynx and there are a crazy amount of traps and snares to set. Already itching to go out again but I gotta give it a few days more.

Great video and narrative of your trapping skills and adventure!!! Very well-done Sir, much enjoyed and can't wait for another episode. You ought to sell your work to an outdoor adventure company.

Did I see canvas mukluks on your feet? Home made?
You need a set of cable cutters!
Might look in to selling lynx on the taxidermy market. www.taxidermy.net there is a for sale forum there.

Most are 3/32 1by19 aircraft cable either with #9 tie wire for support or just cable. I do have some 1/8 in snares but the 3/32 are much more efficient at a quick dispatch

Yeah they are canvas and moose skin. My wife made that pair for me a couple years ago. They are super light weight and warm. I can walk and jump on and off my skidoo way easier with these canvas boots on then while wearing a heavy pair of bunny boots or my -100 below Sorel boots. The downside is they are made to keep your feet dry from sweat, using snow shoes, and for walking. Not so much for driving on a snowmachine. The cold air while riding can get your feet cold when driving for an extended amount of time. I always have a backup pair in my pack in case of breakdowns or wet feet.

I always have a pair of lineman’s in my pocket. Leather man on my belt. Rope for setting 330s in my jacket.

I have in the past sold a few Lynx/wolverine here and there for taxidermy it takes a bit longer to skin out the claws, eyes and lips correctly. If the animal has a unique color I will do up the pelt for taxidermy.

So cool I will definitely check out that taxidermy website. Thanks!
