We are expanding the beef business so that we will have up to two head of beef cut up and ready to deliver in individual meat packages (USDA certified). I want to make sure the investment in meat is protected, so I’m shopping for a wireless freezer monitor/alarm system. Do any of you have experiences with any? Thank you!

The freezers are located down in the barnyard, which is several hundred yards from the house. The freezers may not be visited by us for several weeks in a row, so the monitoring/alarm needs to be sent directly to our phones.

I could wire something up using a Love Controller and a dialer, if you had a phone line. For wireless my best guess would be to contact a home alarm company and see if they have the cellular alarm modems and could then wire in a digital controller to the modem. Then you would be on the hook for a monthly service fee. I know the water company uses telemetry on some stuff around here. I’ve never seen what they had it hooked to in the pit to give ya an idea on a different setup.

I was think of something along the following lines:

https://tempstick.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQ...KOZg97RfR5Mc-kUKXobj1quuq78aAk0YEALw_wcB

https://www.amazon.com/Freezer-Alarm-Refrigerator-Temperature-Monitor/dp/B09649456S?th=1

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them, or something similar.

Here is from a quick search.

Looks like you still need wi-fi where the freezers are at.

I should have mentioned, there is a house very near the freezers with Wi-Fi & a router that we can use, the router is only 15 or 20 feet away from the freezers.

That ought to help a bunch as the distance limit is what shot it in the foot for us.

I have no experience with it but give it a shot. Other ways I mentioned would cost 750.00 or more to setup.
