Yea Savell Ouachita National Forest is about 10 miles away. Have private land close to home but none with those 4 or 5 year old pine thickets cats love.

... that’s the best areas in the government woods here... they’ll clear cut pine that the beetles get to and the regrowth is good for a long while....deer hunters stay out cause you can’t see crap after it’s up 4 foot or so...and the cats and grays love it

For those that are able to use any type of body gripping traps and are able to trap on public land, be it FS or state land, consider yourselves lucky and fortunate, being limited to cage/live traps and trying to trap on public land and having the area infested with bunny snuggling , skinney skiers that can't understand that it is in fact public land open to all users and mess with traps, sprung/ damaged/stolen or even sprayed,, puts a whole nother problem into the equation of successful trapping.

The job of a Patriot is not to protect his country but to protect the people from the tryannical government

I work with a guy that moved from Washington about a year ago. Not a trapper but a fisherman. Took him catfishing and we both had two or three rods. Told me in Washington you had to have an endorsement to carry and second pole. Can't wait to take him to run yoyo's in a couple months.
