I couldn't get the CC to work and give me English on what was being said. Maybe we can have Waggler have one of his Slavic church friends translate for us.
My first impressions were that these ladies were generally older than what I would expect for RF Army widows and didn't show much grief in talking about their coats (I'm sure most would rather have their man than a fur coat). I thought that was odd.
At the beginning it says "Makiivka, Ukraine" as a location so I put that into Google Maps and I basically got the middle of Donetsk City, which is the "rebel" capital of breakaway Donetsk province and a city that hasn't been under the under control (except getting shelled by it) of the Kiev government since late in 2014. So, are these "Russian soldiers" widows actually mostly DPR military widows (which could explain some of the older looking women) and if so, when did these guys die, since Feb 24, 2002 or since 2014??
I'm not saying that these women aren't getting fur coats, but the complete context matters to understand some things.
To answer NEYotetrapper's original question, will this increase the demand/price for fur, no, probably not, at least not for North American fur because I doubt any North American or EU furriers are allowed to deal with Russian nationals inside Russia. Now, if Uncle Sam or the western Euros want to buy fur coats to the widows, moms, and girlfriends of all the dead Ukie guys, yeah maybe so.
