My dad eats an onion sandwich anytime he feels a cold coming on and has done so since I was just a little guy. Two pieces of bread and a big ole sliced up onion, that's it. He says it works even better if ya eat it in the sauna!!🙄 My eyes are burning from the memories

these days I am a lot more likely to take that slab of Vidalia and fry it in a little bacon grease or butter just till the sides brown a bit then melt a slice of cheese on it and eat it just like that

Yup, don't need the salt and pepper. Liver sausage is a bonus Of course, my better half isn't a fan. Onion sandwiches work real well at chasing a cold too.

2 slices of bread with cheese, warm it up, put a sliced slab of onion at least ¼" thick after the cheese is melted, a little ketchup, smash it flat. Now ya have an Onion Press!

Cut some taters in thin slices and fry them quick....not crispy. Layer the taters and raw onion. Mayo on sourdough, salt and pepper. Good stuff

Last time I ate beef liver was sometime during the Reagan administration... Been so long that I don't remember if I liked it or not.
