Great check last week two wolverine and a wolf! Still a lot of sign around my line so hopes up on another catch on my check today. Y’all have a good one and enjoy.

I always make a point of dragging a quarter of a beaver behind the sled. Makes a big difference IMO.
Very nice job as others have said.

Did you cut that line or is it a seismic cut ? Nice country !

Nice day , EG.

I prefer the darker wolverine, and especially love the necklace bling around their throat.

You're right, in the light, that one's fur is as glossy as can be. Just what buyers like.

Thanks guys. The full moon really lit up the night. My wife just finished editing the first part of my fall moose hunt. I’ll try to post it in the middle of the week

Nice job out there. Wish my line was producing. Been pretty dry the last few checks.

Ah man sorry to hear that. It’s hard going weeks without and catches it can really take a toll on my motivation. I’ve been blessed this year but last season I hung wolf snares and traps all over my line and around bait to only catch one wolf. I hope animals are on the way to your line right now. Thanks

Are martens the Alaskan possum? That one furbearing critter that seems to foul up your best sets. Enjoy the videos.

Yeah they can really be a bother. Those 330s are to big to catch them so they go in and out east. I used to wire my bait in the back of the set but when I stopped I stopped getting refusals from wolverine.

I need to find another scale. But I won’t skin it until I find a way to weigh it. It’s in the rotation of animals to skin.

Another good Video EG.
That wolverine sure looked like a hog laying beside that other wolverine and the wolf.
Maybe you should put in a few elevated marten sets to take the marten before they rob your wolverine sets.

I ended up catching 2 marten on ground sets yesterday. It’ll be in the next video. I have 110s and marten boxes I’ll take out with me on the next check.

Really enjoying the video. How old are those trails you use? I think you need some variation in those wolverine sets. When I was trapping around Nome we had good luck with snare poles. Greatly enlarged marten pole, big bait at the end. Snare on the way to the bait. Pole needs to be high enough to keep the wolverine off the ground if caught.
Keep the video coming!

Unfortunate when marten plug up a good wolverine set. Had a first this year when I had 3 marten in 2 330’s at a double ender set on a one night soak. Was wishing for the camera. Great video and posts EG . Thanks
