Save the land, resist against developers!!!
We don't need more houses.
I've lost too much trapping land to new housing developments.

I have always made my own using castor and sac oil. You can add glycerin or mineral oil but I usually just use straight sac oil and castor. Nothing else needed. At the price of castor the last couple years I've thought the other ingredients added to most commercial lures must be cheaper for lure makers to make a profit.

If you can get your hands on a cheap food processor, it works well. I use a sharp knife to cut castors into narrow strips. Then I drop them into the processor and blend my other ingredients.

You can get complicated, or you can keep it simple. A couple castors and a few squirts of oil will catch beaver. Glycerine helps it blend.

Most all animals are attracted to beaver castor.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

Some one here that trap a lot more beaver then i ever will suggest sac oil as a quieter low key set without the charging or maybe shyness of a castor set In Spring i've caught Beaver with a pile of black mud and popple shavings you can add lure later when you remember to bring it along
