Since 1969, started out hard clamming, have done most of the inshore fisheries, now mostly pot fishing conchs, blue crabs and green crabs for the bait market, but can switch to other stuff as available.Been bay scalloping last two months.

Much better return then our brown and yellow coon, lol

Ran hoopnets in Louisiana for many years, mostly catfish. Used to could peel one down to a filet pretty quick

Commercial crawfish in the atchafalaya basin also pond crawfish where I trap mostly also run Catfish hoop nets but not with the price of bait this year

License cost depends on what your fishing for, Finfish, crabs, conchs, lobster, shellfish, all have their own license and cost, I'm into it for $360 per year for my combined licenses...You can't even get a new license now, moratorium on everything except shellfish, and you can't sell your licenses to anyone even if you want to retire.
This is NY, where the powers to be can screw up everything they touch.

had a few friends that fish , but over the years the state took there license away now only native's can fish , south of us there is still one family that fishes
