Always 2-3 sets on a good location.

My main reason is a possum or bobcat will clog up a coyote set in a heartbeat. If it’s where I don’t “think” a coon or possum is I’ll generally use two flat sets. Normally it’s a dirt hole and flat set. I’ve found if I get a coyote that has seen a dirt hole before, he may not quite work it, but won’t think twice about a flat set. Most of the time, that dirt hole set will get that non target and leave that flat set open. Worst case is a possum in each, best case is a double on coyotes. No matter, each location gets two sets. Flats generally on the North side because the wind is predominantly North something. The dirt hole on the South side because it’s basically has a visual even if we don’t have a South something wind.
