River front is nice, but go with concealed carry.

Harris Neck NWR (about 30 min south) has a narrow, paved road route thru the area...nice views of salt marsh and old growth maritime forest.

This restaurant (about 45 min south of Savannah) used to be outstanding. Built on Sapelo River. Commercial shrimp boats docking right outside the window where you're dining.

^^^this restaurant used to be called Pelican Point.

Watch your six in Savannah the whole place is ate up with the dumb butt.

The Tybee Island lighthouse is neat to see but there's not much to see there other than that , tourists and a half torn down fort.

8th Air Force museum is cool. They have a complete B17 inside.

Fort Pulaski is interesting if you like the Civil War.

Lots of historical sites and tours in Savannah if you like that thing. Tybee Island and Fort Pulaski again if you like history. We stayed at Tybee for our honeymoon in 1973. Second on the Fishdock Resturant. We always just liked driving along the coastal areas. Savannah can be pretty wild on St Patricks day, watch out !

I think that is where Paula Dean has a restaurant? When we drove through my wife insisted we eat there. Wasn't overly impressed.

Wow, I haven’t been in umpteen years, but reading this it sounds like it’s went downhill. We stayed in a B&B and walked to River Street every night. Took a carriage ride through the historical district and even did a haunted tour. We walked everywhere and always felt safe back then. We even had a balcony to our room and left the doors open to the outside air.

I was there yesterday picking up some parts. The place still stinks with its refinery or whatever it is they have there in the back of the harbor.

Let's go Brandon

Fort Pulaski is interesting https://www.nps.gov/fopu/index.htm

Wormsloe was interesting https://gastateparks.org/Wormsloe

I have an aunt and uncle there , they took us to some outside crab shack on the water , I love see food

water front was nice. there is a shuttle to the convention center they run , it was a free thing to do with kids go see a bit of the river look around at the other side for a while then catch a boat back.

it was nice weather one of the days it was late October early November so we took the kids to the beach I think that was Tybee island, I think people thought we were nuts but it was like 77 degrees and the water was still warmer than it gets here mid summer.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
