This lake has a lot of Cisco and whitefish and I think that’s why they are so fat always. They seem to be a bit shorter but always fat

Nice fish. Looks like a tobin lake jack short and fat. From my experience there I'd say 20 to 22 lbs. Congrats.

I caught one about 5 years ago in the fall on MilleLacs lake that was 42 1/2 inches. It weighed 21 pounds, but it wasn't as filled out as yours.

My youngest son caught one in front of our house a few years ago that weighed 21 pounds, nine and a half ounces but I no longer have the length on record. It was over 40 inches, though. Plenty thick.
[Linked Image]

Then, a few years later fishing the same spot in front of the house I caught one that was 21 and a half pounds that was 42 inches just to help give length/weight estimates.
This fish was also pretty thick. Both of these fish were caught in February on about the same date.

Thickness does make a big difference as I once caught one during a Pike tournament that was 41 inches and looked pretty normal but only weighed 17 pounds and 4 ounces. That one was caught in mid-September.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Friend of mine caught one that was 46 inches and 16 pounds. It had a huge head and very thin body. Looked like it was really old, I wish he would have kept a scale for it for aging.

That’s a beauty Sask.. some serious beam on that one. The northern pike in lakes with Cisco sure do girth up nice. Length as well a lotta times.
During soft water a guy can chase them deeper than you might think in those lakes.

Doug, here are a couple anemic ones. Both from LOW, both over 40, I doubt if either went much over 16.

This is what they typically look like, this one is bigger yet 4 5 inches shorter.

Those were December so add 2-4 pound come Feb=March with egg mass started.

In winter a one pound whitefish a day water wolves they are
